Tucson Southwst Boxing started in 1994 on sixth avenue and 25th street. Latter we moved to main avenue and university boulevard , then out of the eastside to Rincon high school , its location for 11 years. We moved into our current location on 37th street near the palo verde over pass in march 2009. This is a youth nonprofit, run with coaches and people who volunteer their time , and equipment donated out of gurages, other gyms and back porches. In 2010, with coaches David Villareal and Jesus, Tucson Southwest produced four state champions

Expect to get dirty and smelly because this gym is not like some others in the area that are light on training and have pretty facilities. The facility has no air condition and rarely uses the fans. There are a variety of bags, but none of them are in brand-new condition. The floors of the ring are cleaned regularly, but stained with the blood of dedicated fighters.Back
